This Month's Read:

Good People - By Patmeena Sabit

The Sharaf family is the picture of success. Successful, rich, happy. They came to this country as refugees with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. And now, after years of hard work, they live in the most exclusive neighborhood, their growing family attending the most prestigious schools. Zorah, the eldest daughter, is the apple of her father’s eye.

When an unthinkable tragedy strikes, everyone is left reeling and the family is thrust into the court of public opinion. There is talk that behind closed doors the Sharafs’ happy household was anything but. Did the Sharaf family achieve the American dream? Or was the image of the model immigrant family just a façade?

Like a literary game of ping-pong, Good People compels the reader to reconsider what might have happened even on the previous page. Told through a kaleidoscope of perspectives, it is a riveting, provocative, and haunting story of family—sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, and the communities that claim us as family in difficult times.

The Grounding Series is all about coming home to yourself. As the seasons shift and the days grow shorter, we’re invited to slow down, find our roots, and create space for ourselves amongst the busy period of Autumn and Winter.

Now is perfect time to ground, settle in, reconnect and nourish ourselves - whether that’s through movement and meditation, creativity, sound, or simply spending time in good company.

We've lovingly curated seven events, workshops and courses to help you deepen your practice, explore something new, get creative, and come together alongside our wonderful community. Let's find our footing together and make space for ourselves as we move through the changing seasons.

Booking has just launched for all seven of these wonderful events, and we can't wait to see you there!

'Roots' - Yin and Sound

Friday 25th September 2026 | 7pm -  9pm

As the earth begins to soften into Autumn and the days grow shorter, we are invited to slow down, settle inward, and reconnect with what keeps us steady. 'Roots' is an Autumn Equinox experience centred around grounding - a space to pause, restore, and reconnect with yourself as the season begins to turn.

The evening begins with a 60-minute Yin yoga practice with Tiff, moving slowly and intentionally through long-held postures that encourage release through the hips, legs, and spine. From stillness, the practice will gradually drift into a 40-minute sound bath with Amy, where layers of sound wash over the body and nervous system. Vibrations from Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls, and various other instruments create a deeply restorative space, supporting you to soften, settle and absorb the effects of your practice.

We’ll close with herbal tea and guided journalling, offering time to reflect on the season behind you, consider what you are ready to release, and reconnect with the things that help you feel rooted as you move into the months ahead.

This is an invitation to slow down, come home to yourself, and find your roots - a moment of stillness as the seasons change.

Qigong - The Five Elements (6 week course)

Friday evenings from 16th October 2026 | 6pm  - 7pm

Join Dan Breakwell in this deeply nourishing 6 week course where you will learn the foundational principles and movements of 'Qigong'.

Qigong is an ancient movement practice from Traditional Chinese Medicine that aims to strengthen the muscles, joints and tendons as well as bring balance to the body, organs and their associated functions and emotions.  We stimulate the meridians which are energetic pathways in which life energy or 'Qi' moves through the body - inspiring you to discover new ways to live in harmony with the five elements and their corresponding seasons, organs and emotions.

The first session will focus on finding grounding within the practice, getting acquainted with the group, and learning about 'Wuxing' - Chinese 5 Element Theory. Following this, each session will focus on one of the five elements, moving through Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth.

This course is aimed at anybody wanting to feel more spacious, grounded and connected to their body. Qigong aids nervous system regulation as well as balance, coordination, mobility, circulation and stress management.

This course is open to beginners and keen practitioners alike.

Pathway to Pincha

Sunday 25th October 2026 | 2pm - 4pm

Join Richard for a specialised 2 hour workshop designed to help you build the strength, knowledge and confidence to master 'Pincha Mayurasana' - Forearm Stand.

This will be a playful workshop welcoming all levels. An opportunity to learn various drills which build the strength to prepare, and learn the safe way to both enter and exit this asana. We will begin with a preparatory yoga flow to warm up the body and establish connection. This will be followed by plenty of time to experiment with drills in which we will play using the wall and props for stability. This workshop will be a relaxed and welcoming way to further your practice. We will embrace the wobble and work without judgement towards the self or others.

We encourage anyone that has been hoping to deepen their understanding of arm balances to join us for this 2 hour deep dive.

Parent & Baby Soundbath

Sunday 15th November 2026 | 4pm -  5pm

A soothing space to rest, connect, and recharge. Join us for a special one-hour sound bath designed to nourish both parent and baby. This gentle experience offers a moment of calm amidst the busyness of early parenthood - a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and share the healing vibrations of sound.

The sound bath itself will last 30–40 minutes, with time beforehand to settle in and/or feed, and time afterwards for reflection. You are welcome to experience the sound bath seated, while feeding, or lying down with your baby on your chest - however feels most comfortable for you. The studio will be equipped with yoga props and blankets to support you and your baby in finding complete rest. We understand that sharing this space with little ones can be beautifully unpredictable. We fully embrace the chaos that comes with parenthood and will lovingly hold space for moments when babies are unsettled.

This peaceful gathering is open to parents with pre-crawling babies (6 weeks and older). Whether you’re seeking a restorative pause, shared calm, or a moment of connection within a nurturing community, this offering provides a beautiful space to rest together.

Film Club - 'Love Actually'

As the nights draw in and winter settles around us, we’re inviting you to get cosy, slow down, and settle in for our very first MIND Film Club (a non-profit event).

Inspired by our monthly book club, Film Club is a chance to come together, share a film, and enjoy a little community time away from the usual busyness. Our first screening will be a festive favourite: 'Love Actually' - the perfect excuse to start getting into the Christmas spirit.

We’ll keep things simple and cosy, with complimentary popcorn and soft drinks provided with the opportunity to BYOB. Bring along your own camping chair, cushion or blanket, get comfortable, and settle in for a relaxed evening with good company and a Christmas classic.

Film Club will run over the first weekend of every other month, giving us a regular opportunity to gather, watch something lovely, and enjoy a little more togetherness through the seasons.

Manifest

Thursday 31st December 2026 | 10am - 12pm AND 2pm - 4pm

Join us for an empowering workshop to close the year with clarity and intention. The 'Manifest' Workshop is your chance to let go of the past year’s weight and embrace the possibilities of the year ahead. This workshop is less about resolutions or goals and more about acknowledging what will make you a healthier and happier version of yourself in the New Year.

This 2 hour session includes:

Yoga & Guided Meditation (90 minutes): A  slow and fluid yoga practice in which we will combine gentle vinyasa flow with somatic movement to find deep release and surrender. This practice will also wind down into some heart opening yin and restorative poses, expanding the body for the year ahead. Following our physical practice we will move into a 30 minute guided mediation and visualisation to release what no longer serves you and open your heart to new opportunities.

Manifestation Session (45 minutes): Guided journaling and creative visualisation to set mindful goals and align with your aspirations for 2027. This will be accompanied by some herbal tea and refreshments.

Whether you're seeking clarity, self-reflection, or simply a fresh start, this workshop will leave you feeling balanced, inspired, and ready to embrace the new year with intention.
